First Step Community Counseling Services has been an outpatient chemical dependency treatment center since December of 2006.
Our vision as a community counseling and addiction recovery center is to strive for excellence in the programs we offer, empower our patients to succeed and provide long term support for the future.

We are a strong advocate for new services that address the ever-changing needs of our community. The standard by which we measure success is the ability of our patients to live healthy lives in our community free from addiction.
First Step responds to community needs by maintaining the belief that everyone has the ability to change, while understanding that no one chose to become addicted. Our counselors also utilize innovative research-based practices to help you change when you’re ready to change.
You’ll find our staff at First Step to be friendly, diverse, educated, and experienced. Each holds licensure through Washington’s State Department of Health. Our current staff includes chemical dependency professionals (SUDP) and trainees (SUDPT), all of whom are committed to enhancing their skills with ongoing education opportunities. Furthermore, our clinicians are MRT® Certified.
