First Step Community Counseling Services has been in the outpatient chemical dependency treatment center since December of 2006.

Our vision as a community counseling and addiction recovery center is to "continue to strive for excellence in the programs we provide."

First Step will continue to grow as a strong advocate for new services that address the ever-changing needs of our community. The standard by which we measure success is the ability of our consumers to live healthy lives in our community free from addiction.

First Step responds to community needs by maintaining the belief that everyone has the ability to change, while understanding that no one chose to become addicted. Our counselors also utilize innovative research-based practices to help you change when you're ready to change. Let us help you take the first step to a life free from substance abuse.

Our staff at First Step are friendly, diverse, educated, and experienced. Each holds licensure through Washington's State Department. of Health. Our current staff includes chemical dependency professionals (CDP) and CDP trainees (CDPT), all of whom are committed to enhancing their skills with ongoing education opportunities. Furthermore, our clinicians are MRT® Certified.
